We chose these photos as they best represent the spirit of Chinese New Year and bring out the festive news that we rarely get to showcase and display with pride for the efforts that many people put in. This symbolises the strong Chinese culture St Nick’s displays proudly every beautiful year, with many hearts coming together to make the celebrations truly fall into place and inspire us to keep our wonderful traditions alive as well as the glorious spirit that inside all of us.

From 25 January onwards, students began working tirelessly on their decorations to make CNY 2024 in St Nicks a memorable one. Scraps of recyclables are put to good use throughout the process. The hard work and dedication of the students can clearly be depicted here.

The primary staff room is festively decorated with cute dragons for prosperity for the school. Teachers wait in anticipation for their primary classes’ performances on Friday, during the mass celebration.

Moreover, the secondary staff rooms are also brimming with vibrant decorations and words of prosperity, and teachers work in a more festive atmosphere.

The creativity displayed and wide variety of recycled materials used ensure that St Nicks’ CNY celebration this year is undoubtedly diverse and bursting with creativity!

These wonderful decorations were due to the hard work of the staff and students to truly make the school come alive with the spirit of a dragon, further emphasizing how one celebration can bring many hearts together. Happy New Year everyone!
