Do you have a friend that you are really close with and you stick together all the time? Well, that person may be considered your close or even best friend. I’m sure everyone will have at least one (or more) best friend in school. If you don’t, don’t worry! Just get out there and talk; you will eventually make friends someday. You can also talk and make friends with your desk mates.
Friendships are an essential part of our lives. Friends may irritate, annoy, or frustrate, but is that all you remember of your friend? Don’t forget the joys and laughter you guys shared! Friends bring joy and comfort in your life; they are the ones that you share your joys and sorrows with. When you are happy, they will be happy too; when you are down, they are the ones that will cheer you up, try to help you and comfort you. They will also never abandon you. In short, other than family, friends will be the most important people in your life.
Of course, between friends, friction will definitely be unavoidable, for example, we are angry at them for ‘ditching’ us in group work when there is a need to form groups and they form a group with other people without you. Thus, this will affect our trust in them and in serious cases, we just drift apart. This is the saddest thing that can happen to friendships, so do try your best to avoid it! Communicate with your friend when you detect something wrong. Talk it out calmly and solve the problem. But what if you are hesitant to communicate with your friend for various reasons, for example you do not want to seem too emotional and desperate? Well, I would suggest you find a comfortable setting at a comfortable time and try to just casually bring it up. After all, friendships are also about emotional trust comfort. I would say that one of the deepest levels of friendship is the comfort of connecting with each other on an emotional level. Thus do try to bring your friendship up to that level!
Sometimes, friendships just happen naturally. In other cases, they may be a result of having mutual friends. No matter how the friendship started, the most important thing is to keep it going. It would be too sad to end any friendship, wouldn’t it? So, no matter what happens, try to hold on to the friendship!
To sum off, I would like to share with you some friendship quotes which I found off the internet!
1. Friendship is a single soul dwelling in two bodies
2. Don’t walk behind me; I may not lead. Don’t walk in front of me; I may not follow. Just walk beside me and be my friend
3. A friend is one who knows you and loves you just the same
4. Be courteous to all, but intimate with few, and let those few be well-tried before you give them your confidence
5. True friendship is when you walk into their house and your WiFi connects automatically
6. True friendship comes when the silence between two people is comfortable
7. Friends are the family you choose
8. The real test of friendship is can you literally do nothing with the other person? Can you enjoy those moments of life that are utterly simple?
Cherish your friends and do remain friends even after you graduate!
