Pancakes can be super delicious. Problem is, how do you find places which actually produce tasty pancakes? If you are looking for a place which serves the fluffiest pancakes around, go to the Belle-Ville Pancake Cafe!

These souffle pancakes originated from Osaka, Japan. Personally, I have only visited the branch in Novena Square 2, although there is another branch at Bugis Junction. Despite the shop being small, mirrors had been placed inside the shop to make it look bigger. My family and I only discovered it by chance when we were looking for something to eat one day and spied a considerably long queue of people outside the shop. Deciding that it might be worth a try, we joined the queue.

My mother and I decided to give the mixed berry pancakes a shot, while my sister and father settled for the original. Fifteen minutes of waiting was in line since the pancakes are made in-house.

However, the wait was worth it. The pancakes were wobbling when they were brought up to the table and when I bit into them, it was like biting into marshmallows. They were not overly sweet either and with a touch of butter and maple syrup, they were perfect. I cannot find any words to describe the extent of the fluffiness, but they were definitely the best I have tasted yet. The slightly sour tang from the berries complimented the sweetness of the pancakes well and I was most satisfied. We had decided to order four pieces of each first, but after trying it, we decided to order two more sets of both.

This is definitely a place I would go back to countless times. I would highly recommend paying this cafe a visit so if you are a foodie, you should add eating there onto your bucket list! Even if you are not, it will definitely be a wonderfully novel experience for you, letting you sink your teeth into one of the most delectable pancakes in Singapore and bringing you to a whole new standard of quality pancakes!
